![]() ![]() ![]() However, even though it would at least appear as tho Sakuna borrows heavily from both of those games, after having sunk about 10 or 15 hours into it, I can't really say that I've enjoyed the game very much. I'm likewise a huge fan of Muramasa: The Demon Blade. I LOVE Rune Factory and Harvest Moon games - especially the former (I've played and beaten every Rune Factory released in the west save for the first one). Runner Up might go to Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. I found myself so turned off by it that I've not even touched it in years. The game is, of course, difficult (which is what I had wanted and expected), but I can't help but to feel like it wouldn't be half as challenge with controls that didn't feel so unresponsive and archaic. ![]() Maybe I'm playing it wrong, but I just feel like more than half the time I'm fighting the controls. I'm not sure where all of the hype comes from. Although I grew up a JRPG fan, over the last decade, I've really begun to enjoy a number of western RPGs, such as Skyrim and Witcher (one could even argue, mechanics-wise, Xenoblade), so - after years of reading this outrageously golden reviews of various Dark Souls games - I was kind of excited to give the game a go on Switch.Īnd boy did I ever regret it. Dark Souls on Switch has been a immense disappointment (and a very expensive one at that). ![]()
